Change is coming.

What it holds, I do not know.

I don’t know what to think right now.
I don’t know what to say.
The things I am feeling inside just don’t seem willing to flow into words and expression other than a smile.

I am perfectly content with that.

What I do know is that my heart is weightless as the wind, and as excited as when I was 7 years young and woke up on Christmas morning to find a Ninja Turtles blimp vehicle complete with action figures under the tree.

Oh yea…I went to the Georgia Aquarium a few days ago.  I’ll probably be putting pictures from that up for a little bit.

It’s been a long time coming, I know; but I’m finally catching you all back up on things.

It’s not actually Day 28…more like Day 48.  Oh well, let’s not get technical.

I’ll just start from now and continue posting my daily pictures as I please, in no particular order.

Why, yes, we were in downtown Atlanta, GA.

I won’t lie to you, I peed just to the left of that sign immediately after this picture was taken.

Don’t worry, we were in the backwoods of Virginia where there aren’t any restrooms, so it was okay.

Always a delight.

Good thing I’m not rich, or I just might get huge eating these things.

Well my lovely readers, I’m home again, and I can finally get my pictures up for you.

I have  a month to catch up on, so here’s how its going to work until I get caught back up:  I’m going to simply post the picture for that particular day and if there are some photographs that mean something in particular to me or invoke a thought or feeling that I wish to express through my inadequate words, I will be sure to write it.

Oh, also, I’ve decided to not restrict myself to only sharing Biblical quotations with you all each day.  While I know with all of my heart that the Scriptures and the words contained within are the purest, loftiest, and most ideal, I’m also inclined to believe that truth and good can be found in other works even these days.  Whether it be movies, books, a song, or the words out of a child’s mouth, God speaks today just as much as He did when the Good Book was written.  If you disagree with my choice or the point I’m trying to make…well, I’m sorry you feel that way, and I don’t want to offend you, but my God is not idle, and He dwells in all things, and He can surprise you with what He has to say through even the most obscure things.  I like that.

Anyways, I’ve explained myself too much.  To put it simply, I love a good quote, and I’m going to share it.

^“Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.” – Philippians 4:8

Snow!

Well…not so much the soft, powdery kind you always imagine when you think of snow.

It was more like really white ice where I was.

But still, it made for a neat picture; and very, very cold hands.

I remember the days my sister and I would grab a large pizza pan from the kitchen and go ice-sledding down the street.

Every 2 or 3 years, it would snow and stick really well.

Every 2 or 3 years, if you lived down the street, you could look out your window from your warm, cozy home and watch as two children rode screaming down the hill on shiny metal pans.  They were loving their lives as they laughed and fell, collecting scrapes and scratches across their arms and legs, rather than sitting behind a desk in a stuffy schoolroom and scratching words onto a piece of paper.

Maybe next time a good storm rolls through, if you decide to move down the street, you just might see two young adults reliving those days.

Tonight I helped cook dinner.

It was taco night which, admittedly, is among one of the few things I can actually cook.

I think I burnt the meat a little…
